First make sure it is up to your needs, they are rated for psi AND cfm, your air tools should have there required psi/cfm printed on them or in the manuals we all keep
, I like to go a step or two above the highest cfm requirment, and if all possible get a two stage compressor, change the oil at least twice a year, keep an eye on the intake filter and drain water often, keep the belts adjusted, it should last many years...........just my 2 cents
