Cleaning & Polishing the '95 GMC

Getting the pickup ready for it's 1st indoor car show.
    Here:https://backtothebricks.org/chrome-ice-2018/

Had a friend over who runs his own detailing shop and he went over the paint with a bunch of Wizard's products and made me into a believer.

The truck has been a "bit" neglected the past few years due to a few other projects (the '56 wagon and Ron Burgundy) so the paint was in dire need of a good deep cleaning.
Jimmy spent 5 hours in my shop polishing and wheeling on the "Jimmy"
and really made the paint pop! He did an excellent job and I am very pleased.
As everyone knows the pictures do not do the shine justice.

If you are in Michigan on the 2nd weekend in February stop at the show and see us!

Is is supposed to be stupid cold there too? Lots of highs that are well below zero for us next week. Good time for an indoor show. You can shine mine up next if you want to.

It looks really nice! Be careful you could lose it outside right now because it will blend right in.

True! I am wanting to get some "in the snow" pics with it this year. I have the engine compartment torn apart for cleaning and painting right now though. Probably happen while getting it trailered up to go to the show.

Truck is as clean as it will be. Weather wise it looks like I will be driving to the show in snow anyway so it will need another detailing when I get there... Not too happy about that but nothing I can do about it now...

I have clear bulbs for the parking lights, should I swap them for the amber ones?

I like the amber lamps, gives a contrast. The clear would just blend in and become lost with the others.. imho

You're way keener than I am mate!
I drove milk tankers for close to twenty years.
Every day I had to wash that truck with bucket and scrubbing brush from the front number plate to the rear tail-light lense.
    And every bit in between.
(Car-wash-type machinery was too hard on the trucks; damaging too many mirrors, lights, and aerials.)
When I left that job I vowed I would never wash another motor vehicle again in my life.

And only twice have I broken that vow.

    She washes them.

Or any other mug I can con or cajole in to doing it.

    But
    not
    me!

I like the amber too. Are clear ones even legal?
