    Fortunately this starter is one of the easiest starter to get in and out that I've ever had Mike. The exhaust runs above it so it drops straight down and plenty of room to get to the wires. It just seems they keep getting heavier every year

    That was pretty much my thoughts on it too Ryan. I saw that on a SBC once. When I saw the damage to the starter I was a little worried about what other things had broken. The block was my first concern and the flex plate my second. I dodged the bullet this time.
