My '48 chev had a 235 in it and none of the motor mounts lined up for a 350/350th. I bought a set of weld in motor mounts from Yogi's and a trans mount from "Chev's of the Fortys" which will allow me to bolt the motor right in. You can get bolt in ones too. By the way that Chevs of the fortys catalog has everything for your '50 too.

As for the front suspension, I am going to use a Pinto (Mustang II) front suspension that has the rack and pinion steering mounted right on it, a real easy application. 80's model camaro subframes also work very well in the old chevys.
