    B&M Star shifter

I have the B&M Hammer shifter in the nomad, and really hate it. I'm thinking it had the Star shifter in it before. I changed the Star for the hammer because the hammer was rated for the 700R4, which previous owner installed. The Star couldn't shift into first(L-2?)

Anyway... It worked well enough otherwise. My question would be: what's the problem with using the Star for a 700R-4?

Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

The biggest problem is that it won't work on a 700-R4.
It's made for the TH series 200/250/350/400.

If you don't want a ratchet shifter, Quicksilver or Sport models will work.

Thumbs up on the Quick Silver. I like that shifter a lot. I wish I had used it in my present ride.

Me too. I have a B&M Street Bandit in my '34, and it just doesn't fit my driving style any more.

I am in the process of swapping a 200r4 into my wagon. The car had a 350Th and a B&M Star Shifter. I am going with the Hurst V-Matic 3 for the swap. It will take a bit of getting used to but it'll work just fine.
Just so you guys know, The Hurst V-Matic and the B&M Mega shifter are the exact same shifter other then the handle and knob...
