After I finished this, I welded together all the aluminum test pieces my class turned out on the lathe and end mill. After I welded all the pieces together, I started running beads over all the flat surfaces. In the process, I accidentally grabbed a 308 rod, and discovered that it is ridiculously hard to weld aluminum with a stainless steel rod!
