The little Dodge has been on the road about a year now and after getting back from my annual trip back to Illinois the odometer is closing in on 10,000 miles.

The trip back went well the truck ran great and got between 20- 22 MPG the whole way and the temp stayed between 180 and 190 degrees. The bench seat actually turned out to be more comfortable on the long trip than I expected (my back felt much better than when I’ve made the trip in either the El Camino or 57 Plymouth). The only issue I had was losing the top piece of windshield trim that appears to have blown off somewhere in Iowa or Missouri on the way home.

Anyway, it’s good to be back and I couldn’t be happier with the way the swap turned out.
