34_40 Thanks I've seen that one too, and Roger I have seen that one too, but they use the factory drive transmission which won't work in my case. I like the one I posted only because it is an all in one unit, minus the exterior trim bezels, which I can buy new or use the originals that I have here.
I like it because it states:

The RainGear system will fit all 1948 to 1952 Ford F-1 trucks with the following exception:

Cross-mount master cylinders likely won't fit with our RainGear system installed.
Original radio will NOT clear the system.

This modern F-1 Raingear Kit installs under the dash and is designed with simple, built-in, adjustments. The new wiper pivot shaft installs in the original position and uses your original or reproduction escutcheons to maintain the stock look. This unit is the 2-Speed and Intermittent/Delay Wiper Unit.

The install article link is here:

It seems that the lower Stock mounting bracket needs to be removed, but other than that it fits in place and works with original cowl. As far as the defroster ducts, that will be revisited if and when I install a heater system(most likely in the future once everything else works and truck is road tested. Heck I might install a stock floor heater!
