no they did not crack it when they bored it most bbc walls are around 200. thick so .015 a side of the bore is not going to weaken it. but it could of been cracked then bored? yes but the boring bar cutting that bore makes a different sound when its getting bored . should of seen it as well. the iron dust lays out the crack in the boreLast edited by pat mccarthy; 07-05-2014 at 09:11 PM.
