1948 buick front headlight bulb replacement
Hello! I just bought a 48 buick and i'm still in the process of getting properly aquainted with her. I'm starting to notice some flaws and issues i must have "edited out" on our first couple dates. I guess that happens when your enamored!
This morning i noticed the front driver's side headlight is out. I want to replace the bulb. But the headlights are frenched. [IMG][/IMG]
I imagine i need to go in from behind the lense to replace the bulb? I haven't looked back there yet but with the way the fenders wrap over the top it seems tricky. Also are there ugrades to these headlights i can get. These are pretty weak.

I expect you're right about going in from the back. Are your bulbs H4 style halogens or old sealed beams? If they're already H4's then replacing is not nearly the chore, I would think, and there are a lot of higher output bulbs out there that you can switch to. I'd recommend buying a pair as they often "look" different to oncoming traffic if you keep one old, one new.Last edited by rspears; 05-13-2014 at 10:13 AM.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Should be able to get at that easiest from the fenderwell ahead of the tire.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.

"I guess that happens when your enamored!"
I guess not looking behind the light to see how bulb is replaced also happens "when your enamored!"!!!
