Been there with the belt. Threw the belt on my Z28, coasted into an Auto Zone, tried to explain all the different motors/pulleys I have used in the car, they just roll their eyes and shake their heads. Frustration guage goes off the chart. They would not even try a random belt. Getting back to the markers/dye, have you tried the local welding supply? I think that was the last place I saw some.
