I dont want to get too far off topic but to answer your gas filler comment :
As I mentioned on my intro thread this thing was my very first car. It burned to the ground a week before or so before I went into the Air Force in 1976. I started working on it when I got out in may of 80. The trend then was bright colors and chopped and smoothed. Well you can see how much has been done since then. Im thinking seriously about reversing some of that stuff and doing the patina paint thing to it, Thinking the door for the fuel is cut in already I might leave that as it feeds the fuel tanks below. Now I build the tanks and use the original gas filler with a tube that runs down through a console to the tanks underneath. I get 20 gallons under the car just fine. Here are a few that Ive done.

".......So sanded it all down and resprayed. ......" Been there. done that on a couple of paint jobs over the years. Usually took me a couple of days to get over being mad before I started...
