Seems to me that the front end on some GM trucks in that era had some "fixed" components that had to be replaced for the front end to be aligned. As I recall, a dealer would replace them under warranty, but only if there was a complaint pointing to an alignment problem, and once out of warranty they charged for the "kit", but I don't recall the details. Might have just been the eccentrics with bolts, replacing fixed washers?? Sorry, CRS is working....
There are plastic "knock out plugs" that must be removed before one can adjust the caster/camber, or at least some were plastic?
