    Not to hijack the thread, but I was reading through the information in the December 2012 Street Rodder on the new VooDoo Hot Rods carbon fiber '32 roadster on their own space frame chassis, and they pointed out that the key to better ride and handling is increasing the suspension travel, which is limited to an inch or two on a "traditional" setup with leaf spring front & coilover rear. Not sure I'm ready for a tube chassis street rod, but they may be the next step in the evolution....

    Why do you think you will break something hitting a bump? Unless you have a Chinese cast iron front axle or spindles or something, that cross spring front is tough!
