I know this sound funny - but it works. Paint the balancer and let it dry real well. Then take a white crayola and rub it across the timing mark. Use a lot of pressure to make sure it gets in all the little lines. Then rub hard and fast with a soft rag to buff away the residual. You end up with nice bright lines and numbers that will last for years. When it gets hard to read, it's easy to once again use the crayola and freshen the marks. I've done this for years and had great success. Works especially well against a black balancer - your timing light will really pop out.."Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty." John Basil Barnhil
