The OEM coupler is more like three or four layers of fire hose sewn together, and I always thought it was there only to eliminate road vibrations into the steering wheel.
That is the one I ordered, holes are wrong, outside diameter too small.
My research shows the OEM is rubber, with steel anti-failure inserts.

I tried to post a pic of an after market, it looks like a hockey puck with holes.
