So you're pushing the blade into the paint at a fairly steep angle, like maybe 30 to 45 degrees to the surface, as opposed to pulling the blade towards you like a scraper, which is the way I learned to shave down runs?

Shavin a run, ya do from the top as it's heavy @ the top as opposed to the bottom.
Strippin is a whole differant world, just get underneath it and start pushin like hell. It'll start flyin off..
