I was looking at the steel fuel line on my 69 nomad the other day, it was 1/4". If you have huge cubes, you might consider 3/8. Seems to me, when I did the disc brake conversion on my 64 C10, the lines were 1/8"&3/16".
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
