I don't know a thing about the Engine Works, but the MSD Ready to Run has all of the electronics (computer, in other words) packed in that housing. There are usually two things that will fry them. Water and since they are pretty well sealed. The second, voltage surges. Then there is that old bug-a-boo, it just happened and you got the bad one (or two)
