Since the car is obviously pretty rare... and that you won't make it into a beauty queen with body modifications... I agree with your choice of building it as a restomod. Keep those badges, if they are removed. If you don't, they may be impossible to ever find again.
The choice of wheels and paint color can give the car a look of value, which would make it seem more "special" to onlookers. I would give that some serious thought. Gold and white... or maybe color choice linked to that era, like the two or three-tone schemes including aqua or coral... or even a dark colored metallic, might enhance the kind of styling it has.
Two things we know... people will talk about it.... and you will never have another one park next to you! :-)

I wouldn't discard the badges,the rear one is pitted real bad and broken. I do have the all the letters for the hood,I'm just thinking it might be more fun if the name isn't on it,I am definitely thinking about a period likely three tone paint scheme like a lavender and green with a white top,something as bizzare as the car itself.
