Hello everyone, I did a budget restoration on my 67 chevy sw 4x4 a couple months ago. I offroad almost every weekend so i wasnt going for a show truck look. I still get people pointing at her when i drive by though.
I painted the truck with tractor paint with catalyzer and my wife got the interior looking nice with new carpet, wrapped the dash and door panels and put in new window cranks and door handles and stuff. I got the 327 running strong. Just added an edelbrock intake and carburetor, headers, dual flows and a stock hei. She runs great! I cream my buddies shiny new hemi outa the hole every time. He catches me when i hit that tall third gear though.
Anywho, my clutch was slipping under heavy acceleration so my brother and I put a clutch kit in it yesterday. I went with the more modern type pressure plate with all of the little fingers instead of the 3 big ones my old one had, and changed the pilot bushing and flywheel. It feels great now but I have one concern... When I put it in 1st with the clutch all the way in, it doesnt grind, but feels like it is spinning slowly. Is this something i should worry about? Thanks in advance and ill post pics as soon as i get new batteries for the camera. O and im running an sm465.
