If I can get 600+ horse out of a 5L or 6L engine, why would I want anymore bigger cubes???? That's plenty to get hooked up on anything but a very well prepped race track. Certainly enough for the street!!!! Let's also not ignore the price of fuel.....At it's current price the difference in cost of driving a 25mpg Hot Rod with a 5L engine vs a 500 incher that gets 4 mpg is considerable!!!!!

Guess I don't understand the "shell game" deal---maybe going back to the days of every auto manufacturer having that Top Secret carb that makes every car get 30 mpg???? It's a matter of research and development, sometimes improvements are in tiny steps, sometimes they're giant leaps forward, nature of the business. I don't believe that it's a result of some sort of conspiracy perpetuated by the boys at Ford, GM, and Chrysler!!!!!!
