    Is there any way to...

Remove the door latch assembly without removing the glass run channel?

Don't know for sure but I would think you can remove it with the window UP Most cars and trucks work that way

The window is up but the run channel is still blocking the removal.

Two screws but the run-channel can't move because the window is in it.

I am not positive about your window but all I have worked on the chanel is 2 peaces. when you remove the bottom screws it should move out of the way if the window is full up. The felt chanel will pull out of the part that is attached to the door and can be moved .

No it's only one piece. If there is no way to remove it without removing the run channel then I will have to remove the vent window, the window and the channel. Bummer!!!

Yup, gotta take the whole mess out. Think of it as an oppertunity to replace all the felt and antirattle strips and tighten up the regulator - the olny downside is taht when you get it done it'll be so nice you'll have to do the passenger side too!
