Thread: Body work?

I have a 84 chevy pick up that got a little scrape on a nature trail over the weekend by the looks of the two trees I was not the first one. I asked the passenger , AM I CLEAR, he says yes you have plenty of room. I over looked the fact that he was to scared to move,. After checking out the damage I find that the door does not seem to be bent just scraped paint. The cab has a little more damage and I removed the panels from the inside and can see the area from the back but cannot get a tool into the 3"-4" space to pop it back out. The bed seems to have the worst and like the cab there is not enough room to work with out taking the bed side off of the truck. I am not a expert body man but have used a hammer and dolly with good results before. I wanted to see if the more experienced folks out there could give some input on the best way to tackle this job with out using fillers. I know its a old truck but i want it fixed as if it were brand new, sorry had to through that in there
Should I just take it to a body man and let them fix it with the latest gadgets? My wife had some severe hail damage on her 2011 vehicle and the body guy took care of it with excellent results, no painting. Is this some thing that could work here? Thanks
