I respect your comment but I like the looks of the front and it is different and I'm really stubborn and don't like giving up! I have considered this before. But I Z the frame 7" and than the cross member 3"just so it could be seen. I'm crazy I guess!!! But different! Thanks again!!! I do like all input good and bad
After racing hemis for so long I think they should be properly set up and run in any vehicle--even a pump with an industrial hemi looks cool because it has a hemi in it---if you want a rear radiator, put the hemi back there too and it will look and be cool looking and cool running--remember the hemi under glass???
I have 392 in my 48 DeSoto, 160 thermostat, stock fan, shroud, and electric fan. Runs great temp all day long, regardless of outdoor temp, but will not sit in traffic long before it starts to heat. I am using all factory gauges, and temp gauge only goes to 212. Sitting still in traffic, hits the 212 real quickly. Running a BBC water pump, aftermarket (Griffin) alumin radiator. I have run 180 and 195 thermostat, same results.
I'm not wanting to hi jack this thread, just asking for help, maybe will help original posters situation?
