how come it does it at exactly 8 mph???? guess while my speedo didn't work for about 4 years------after I replaced the speed sensor on the ring gear, now my speedometer works, crz works, dome lites f d up---could it have been that a faulty door switch could of been the culprid all along causing the crz and speedo not to work????
And the Ford recall about speed sensors could be door switch related??? those poor Toyota folks----wait, I got an electronic throttle too

Jerry,Far as I know the speedo and dome lights have no relation what so ever, unless they have the electric locks tied into the speedo circuit like some cars and something is shorted in the door.
I'll look thru some of my resources and get back to ya.

Jerry, looked thru some info. Majority of Ford truck dome lights problems are as I stated above. I would clean & lube the door latches and see what happens.
Other problems would be broken wires in the boot @ door hinge area.
Also water intrusion from leaking windshield on drivers side that leaks into fuse box and or GEM module. GEM module controls lots of componets such as power windows ,door locks, lights, etc.
