Had one on my first car a four cylinder Henry J bought out of Ipswich, SD. Was mounted but never wired. Stuck my arm out the window when it was nice out, took my chances 6 months out of the year, couldn't see out the defrosters any way.
    The good old days!

I still stick my arm out the window sometimes because my daddy told me to when he was teaching me to drive.

That was in the mid 1940's and not too many Model A Fords had turn indicators at that time.

Somewhere along the way I for some reason developed the habit of holding my left hand in kind of a Boy Scout salute position when I signal a turn. My outspoken daughter-in-law told me I'd better stop doing that because today nobody knows what hand signals are and they might think I was shooting them the finger.

Well, okay. I'll try not to do it anymore.

I'm not the only old fart here!

I'll try to make the next one tougher
Buying parts I don't need, with money I don't have, to impress people I don't like
