Please help identify the mystery parts!
I ended up with a pair of these rear quarter windows and the surround for them and have no idea what they are to.
I figured one of the the gearheads here would know exactly what it is.
Someone on another forum I'm on suggested they may be to the interior and the hole is for an interior light, which is logical, but no one had any good guesses what they are to.
If you know for sure, and can offer some kind of proof with photos and/or measurements- I'll send you $5 as a prize. lol.
I can also provide more pics if needed.
There are no part #'s on the glass nor on the back of the sheetmetal part. Several people have suggested VW bug- they aren't VW bug. I've had several and the windows aren't like this nor do they have a removable interior or exterior trim piece, have a different window seal, etc.Last edited by SweetDaddyD; 10-12-2010 at 06:38 AM.

I'm guessing the hole is for a carraige light of some sort. As to what it's off, something from the 30's or early 40's, with 4 wheels and a six volt system!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

I thought 30's or 40's for sure. 2 of my friends insist 50's.
Perhaps a clue is that the piece is removable?

I'm thinkin' Shoe Box Ford coupe. That cutout looks just like the pillar light in my '51 did. And, yeah, there was a grab strap on the bottom of the light housing.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.

I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
