On my old 429 everything(peripheral) was interchangeable with the 460. Same block different stroke. Just cranks, and strokes that are different. Now this was for the same year block. Not sure about different year blocks. One way to check is go to a place like summit and look up an intake and see if it is the same for the two different years and engine sizes you are looking at. That should be the fastest way I would think, or wait for Paul Kane to hop on and answer, he's the big 460 Ford guru around here.

If I recall correctly the only things that are different are the flywheel and the balancer on the outside of the engine.
I remember when hot rods were all home made.
