If the rear is a posi, jack up the rear, mark the bottom of the tire and the bottom of the driveshaft and turn the tire one revolution while counting how mwny times the driveshaft goes around.
If ti's NOT a posi, do the same thing with the vehicle slowly rollin forward on the ground.
Or, you could pull the rear cover anf count the teeth.

Yep, I've got an S10 rear in the 23, non posi and I simply put a mark on the tire and on the driveshaft then rolled it forward and counted the driveshaft and tire revolutions. Mine ended up a 3:00, which seems high, but worked out perfect.

Just keep your head out from under the tire as you count

If it's an open rear end, jack up one wheel and turn it two turns, counting the driveshaft turns.

OK so if the rear end is supposed to be a 323 how does that equate to revolutions?
