Also where you run into a problem with an 'A' is with engine setback. Mine ended up at least an inch too far and probably closer to two - a TCI assembly screw up as well as mine for not figuring it out - but the chassis was originally done for a Fordor so it didn't matter. When I got that offer I couldn't refuse for the slant windshield body and ordered the Brookville, it was too late for changes without a lot of time and money. This meant my Brookville firewall needed another couple of inches more recess to 5.5" - which in turn killed my foot box in a roadster.



.....now, speaking about engine setback

Now, as far as leaning the windshield stanchions/posts!! If you are using repros, there is a stop that prevents you from leaning that assembly, so this means that you can have them straight up or tilted forward.

I have never seen aluminum uppers - carbon steel, stainless (like mine) or brass from Brookville which can be real crap. My originals were the one piece brass. For $450 they arrived unchromed, drilled incorrectly and ground to almost paper thickness at the body brackets. They were returned for the SS version that I now have
