yes the Steering pump feeds presure for the brake booster and the power steering gear. So its all fer one one fer all, or none fer all in this case. Got the air out and it is still turning on its own and groanin and howling. I think maybe there is a blockage some where from the previous owner runnin it dry. mighta cooked it good, but I know nothin on these and am having trouble finding links to well illistrated breakdowns and troubleshooting.
