    All I did was cut the fitting off the hard line(whatever the inside diameter of the hose you're using is), used no flare, slid the hose on and put a hose clamp on for just good measure. It's not like the hose is going to be sucked off the hard line. But you have to remember from the factory those hose clamps were cheap ass spring clips, which I hated....joe

    Wow I definately over thought that one cutting the ends off sounds good to me. Should 3/8" be good for such a distance?

    Good question.............
    Mine is either 3/8 or 1/2...
    I just took the hose off the booster & told parts guy that I needed a stick of steel line that would fit the inside of the hose. Bent it & hooked it up.

    The stock hose I have from this engine is 3/8", but I wasn't sure how the increased distance would affect the vacuum and thought I might need a larger diameter to off set it. I can only bend up to 3/8" though so I'll just try that. Thanks again.
