Thread: How to prevent fender stars?

Thanks guys. Don in another thread I asked about lizard skin as a sound barrier but I don't know if I asked about it as an undercoating for fenders. About a year ago when I first found their site they said it helped for preventing fender dings but they no longer claim that. Maybe they got in a little refund trouble for it.

I have been told buy a local body guy to use spray or roll on bed liner too but I didn't want to take just his word for it.

I have a couple friends who have done the bed liner thing. Both of them just took the fenders to Line-X and had them spray them before final finish on the shiny side. Very durable and I bet it might even reduce road noise. If you have the fenders all prepped so all they need to do is spray them I would think it would not be too expensive either. Good insurance.
