That was my first thought Bob, but several things made me think not. First of all, the taillights on the Dodge mount to the fenders, not the trunk hump, like in his picture. Then, the Dodge has a split back window, his is one big window, and finally, the door handles seem further down from the beltline on the Dodge than on his. The beltline on the Dodge sweeps down in the back toward the ground. His beltline continues up around the roof, more like on the Plymouth.
But that dash still has me wondering. Here is a picture of the Dodge, see the differences?

That's the Dodge dash, perhaps this is one of those Canadian combo cars.

BTW, the tan picture looks more like a '37 or 8Last edited by Bob Parmenter; 06-04-2010 at 07:28 AM.

That does look more like it. The picture of the tan one was listed as a 36 on the site I borrowed it from, but maybe it is really a 37. I should know, as I owned a 37 Dodge four door in my teens, but that was a few years ago (
), so I forget what it looked like exactly. Also, the Dodge has the taillights mounted on the rear fenders, and his clearly have the remnants of a taillight mount right on the trunk hump. Very confusing, maybe it is a midyear thing or something as you have suggested.
At least we have narrowed it down to some Chrysler product.

I consider the internet an enormous knowledge resource........however......I've felt the need to double and triple check almost every assertion for validation/agreement.
This isn't unique to the internet though. Rod magazines have been a reference source since day one and have, at times, been in error as well. I recall on here several years ago someone put up a picture of a '60s era customized F100. The poster really liked the bumper treatment and wondered what it come from. I recognized it as '55 Pontiac and responded. Another poster, a "rat rod know-it-all" type, said that he had the magazine and it said it was a Plymouth bumper so I obviously didn't know what I was talking about. The humor in that is that I had anticipated possible skepticism and had also posted a picture of a '55 Pontiac in my original post.
Oh well!
