Custom made wheels?
Hello everyone
Has anyone had a set of custom wheels made? If so who made them and whats a good price for a set... I need a set of 17"s made for my 56 dodge, so I can run a wider front tire/wheel
Thanks

Sorry I shouldve explained better.. Its a 56 D100 truck on a 94 9C1 Caprice chassis, and the front track width wide. Right now I have 3.5" weld draglites on the front, and I would like to run at least a 7" rim.. But I need a front wheel drive type offset.. The reason for the 17s is so the wheels will clear the tie rods... I wanted to use chrome reversed wheels but 15s wont work and nobody makes a 17 steel wheel in the 5x5 bolt patern...
Thanks

I bought a set of wheels from Newstalgia Wheels in Tennesee a few years ago for my 34 Ford coupe. Custom offset, ran me $900.00. I'm sure they can fix you up for less than $12500! Good Luck.

I had a set of custom wheels made for my '48 Thames panel ......... they are ET's built by Team III ........ the rears are 15x12's (6-3/4" offset) and the fronts are 15x4's ( 1-7/8" offset) ......... the whole set (plus shipping) cost a little less than $2,000

Billet Specialties makes 17" wheels, 5 on 5" with back spacings from 3.75 to 7.25 depending on the wheel width. This is for the GTX series - http://www.billetspecialties.com/ite...scid=18&pid=16 the tech info will tell you that 17, 5/5 are available. I use 17"x8 GTX01's but they are 5 on 4.5" and are currently in the $435 range each.Last edited by IC2; 06-03-2010 at 01:59 PM.
