We used to run solid core copper with ZERO resistance, but it played hell with anything electronic, even the TV inside the house when you would pull up into the driveway...

Nothing will cook. Use a name brand spiral wire as some skimp on wire quality and they will not last as long.

I wondered why spark plug wires had such high resistance when we're doing everything we can to produce a bright spark. Now I know.
