How exciting that would of been, cool eh!!! Now you will be getting impatient to see the end of the build and get some mileage on it... Have you got a photo of I Scream before you started for us to see before and after..I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

I will have to say, since you started this truck when ever I do my weekly cross country Craigs List scan I'm always looking for odd ball stuff. Hell it makes me wish I would of kept my mid 60's postal van I had years ago. Lots of room, could haul a bunch of people or what ever if you wanted and ya gotta love the right hand drive.
Here's an odd ball Dodge I found last night...joe

Do it, Joe! Man, you could transplant the drivetrain out of that wagon you were driving, slap on a couple of coats of single stage paint, and you'd be in business! Maine is a pretty good haul to pick up a car but it'd be cool when it's done.

Wow what a change Falcon. Have fun driving it!. Maybe play the ice cream tune really loud as you pass kids, slow down just enough to get them to follow, then peel out!

Thanks guys! Still a long way to go to be finished but I'm pretty happy so far. Funds are getting low, too. But there's plenty to do that wont cost a bundle. I still have to paint the doors, hood, bumpers, inside panels, and rebuild the roll up rear door plus get all the glass back in but I'm happy where its at after only about 8 months of work.

Over the last few days I got the head/tail/brake/signal lights all working, built a battery hold down, did some more adjustments on the brakes and took a few more spins down the road. It's definately getting better. I pulled it out and cleaned it up after I got home from work today, it's gotten really dusty.

I guess I'll start on the bumpers and doors soon; I've got a friend working on the hood for me.

Thanks for the photos of I Scream as you found it. You must of had a vision of what that van could become and it is amazing what some would class as an ugly ducklin can become is so neat. I like it for the fact that nobody has one like it.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Thanks, Whiplash! When I found this thing I was looking for parts for my 48 Plymouth on Ebay in the vintage parts section. I put in a radius of 200 miles and when this thing came up, I was hooked. Dont ask me why but I had to have if I could get get it cheap; and I did. $400 bux. I'm the same way; I liked it because no one else at our local shows had anything remotely like it.
I got my rails for the rollup rear door cleaned up and put back on, along with the top rear panel they attach to. I also got a start on the doors; welded up some holes where some padlock hasps had been, straightened a few dings, and getting them ready for primer. Tomorrow, I hope.
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
