Thread: Why cant part numbers be stamped on the part

Does anyone know if a vacumn advance from a points distributor work on a duraspark as there are a couple in the catalog that specify it as being adjustable,I know all the big parts like blocks and heads have casting numbers but if they would take the time to stamp the small parts life would be so much easier.

I've not done that but would give it a try if it fit - 2 screws and a link to the advance plate with a clip. If the advance plate stays in the same place, it's worth a try.
