#1 is battery post
#2 is ignition triggered
#3 is usually batt source through an idiot light,
can be attatched to the "Battery" post with no problem.
#4 is a hole which is used for testing the output. Sticking a little wire or small allen wrench during operation will full field the alternator and give you the reading of what the thing can put out for total amps and voltage. What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?

Mopar, I don't think this diagram is correct. The 84 Camaro should have a self contained Alternator. This would negate your diagram showing a seperate voltage Regulator.
Josh, If you use Nitro instructions you are good to go.
RSProtected people will never know or understand the intensity life can be lived at. To do that you must complettly and totally understand the meaning of the word "DUCK"
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
