Is this correct, or am I missing something?

The axle is a 4" dropped, 30's Ford.

While the axle can be installed either way as has been posted by others; there is in fact a "front" side. The pins that lock the kingpin in place are tapered holes. The larger opening should go to the "front". This enables the long nut that screws onto the tapered pin to also act as a spindle stop on the "back" side of the axle.

There is no built in caster to the axle. There is however; a built in camber.
