    Door window glass

I thought I posted this already but nothing showed up. What is the best way to get badly cracked glass out of the door of a 30 Model A. Should I remove the brace at the bottom and remove the whole mechanism? Thanks for any responses.

After your seventh post, your post are no longer held for review as explained to me.

As for your glass. Once you remove it (frame and glass) from the car. Soaking it in a tub a really hot water makes it much easier to remove the glass from the channel. There is also glass setting tape to use to install your new glass for about a 1$ a foot. Installs glass without glue. Also works well on vents too. Hope this helps answer your question.

Unbolt the window regulator from the door, slide the regulator arm from the metal slide on the bottom of the glass, remove the upper portion of the door/window and slide the glass straight up and out of the top of the door.

Remove the panel at the very top of the door. This will enable you to remove the glass and re-install new.

You do not have to remove the brace at the bottom.
