Most cars have run all right hand since about 64. The rortational loosening theory had proven false by then and all major manufactures went to all right hand. Knock them lefties out and replace them. Will also save a lot of headaches when changing a flat when you aren't quite right.

replace them with the right hand threads ........ I am a mechanic and I can only think of one or two cars I ever worked on with left hand threads... and needless to say they ended up with a couple broken threads before I found out that they were left threads so save yourself some trouble and just go ahead and switch them over!

You might desire left hand threads on the left side of a car that used a single centered knock off type stud to mount the wheel. For multiple studs located off of rotational center there is no need.

Go with right hand threads. My 46 Chrysler has the left handed threads but like mentioned that theory was proven wrong for them to backout and loosen. Not sure who told him this info but they are way too far behind in times and need to realize that all the new cars now are running right hand threads for a reason. If there were problems with RH threads then we would all be running LH threads.

While my opinion is to replace with right hand studs, Dorman Products can usually supply most any wheel studs - probably even LH. You WILL need a friendly counter man with patience to do the research though
