    fuel line and fuel pump

     



    i have a mid 70's 400 chevy sb. i will be running new fuel lines and getting a new pump. i would like to know what size fuel line i should get. what size fuel pump. i am running a 600 holley carb.

    36chevymaster;
    I'd run the biggest fuel line I could, you can always reduce it down.
    You can also run a fuel regulator if you need too.
    If you run it to small you'll have to go back and run all new line though.

    3/8 is the normal size. That is plenty unless you put in alot larger engine..like a BBC.
    A stock fuel pump for the application will keep up with the engine. Just dont buy Chinese crap

    a mild 400 with a 600CFM carb will be FINE with a stock pump and a 3/8" ( stock ) line.
    .
    Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
