Try autolock. They have 12 volt linear actuators in different lengths and strengths, with built in electric cut-off switches. Not cheap but excellent quality. I have one on the side tilt bed cover on my roadster pickup.---BrianOld guy hot rodder

Or you could go to or call your local auto salvage, cars are filled with different types of actuators in them. And save $$$$$.
