    engine swap question

Is a 57 (car) 235 into a 49 Fleetline (in place of the 216) a bolt up deal? I assume it is but want to make sure before I buy anything. I'd just as soon keep it simple and retain the original 3 speed and enclosed driveline.

It will bolt in but you will have to shorten the water pump a little and I think the angle of the exhaust manifold is different so the pipe wont bolt up but that should be it. I have a 57 235 in my 37 p/u. Jeff
