"Lots of people will see it and I'll tell them all who did it, so you should get lots of work from it" is the resounding comment from most of them. I just "calmly" explain that we don't do sponsorships and most places won't either unless the person has a brand new vehicle and is usually a returning builder/champion of the show circuit... Get tired of the people wanting "FREEBIES" all the time...

I know what you mean, man!!!!! I have a nice set of race car scales with turn plates, etc. I get many sponsorship offers every spring from all the local circle burners.... Heck, I only charge $50.00 to put a car on my scales, tie up my little garage for at least half a day, and help make a bunch of changes on the suspension.... Can't even tell you how many tell me that it's way too much money and I should do it for free!!!! Probably one more reason why I do very, very little business for the general public anymore....and offer my condolances to the shops that still have to deal with these folks on a daily basis and remain friendly!!!!!! Seems as I get older, my "social skills" are deteriorating. Next step, unlisted phone number!!!!!
