Isn't the Brazilian V8 60 stuff from a Simca? Seems I recall they got the tooling many moons ago from Ford.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Here's a forum discussion on the EMI-SUL engine as it was known, apparently only produced 1966-69; http://www.thehemi.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1520
There's a video of the engine being driven on a test stand in Portland Or. Looks like this was 2005, so you might be able to contact the guy through that posting.
I think I remember him posting on here for a short while now that I've looked at the video. I'll see if I can find the old post.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Okay, here's the thread he posted; http://clubhotrod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15426
If you click on his user name it'll give you contact options. Better yet, just watched the other video he's got linked in his third post on that thread and it's got his phone number and email at the end.Last edited by Bob Parmenter; 09-30-2008 at 09:51 PM.

Ken,
Your project is amazing and intriguing. In a quick search there was referrence to a 3 part Ardun White Paper in R&C by Tom Senter in 1971 that was said to peek behind the veil on the Ardun. Machining heads from billet boggles my mind. Are you planning to eliminate any water flow through the heads, out of curiosity?

OK - now we know that Ken has LOTS of free time so we can watch this build instead of his latest car build.
{It has to be my age thing - I can only keep 8-10 projects going at a time now instead of the 20-30 that I used to along with the significant international business travel of my days of yore

I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug
