You might want to test it on a simular painted surface before going at an area that you will see. Tolulene seems to be the vehicle of the paint mix, 40% by volumn, check the MSDS sheet for the complete formula. Might act like lacquer over enamel, and be to hot a solvent, and wrinkle up the underlying paint. What a mess that makes, I had it happen a long time ago doing stripes on my old 66 Chev.
