    47-49 International BB V8??????

A guy just offered me what he thought was a TD366 Chev motor and a taurus engine and tranny for a 12 pack of beer. But this engine was the orignal equipment from a 47-49 international pickup he purchased to make a trailer with.

So I know this would be an international engine and not a Chev but what sort of displacment would it be and is it worhth anything. I do not know a thing about internationals so any info will be a great help.

    Thanks Ben

    Question solid main olds 403's

The solid main's engine was supposed to have been in some cars that had a towing package i hear. I have a friend in Saskatchwan who is an auto wrecker. He claimes that this block can be identified by a Larg X cast into the block under the 403 on the sides of the block. He has opened up and rebuilt 4 of these X blocks over the years and been correct on all of those ocasions. I managed to find an X block after much searching. However once i opened her up it turned out to be a webbed main. With .020 pistions after market rod bolts a ground crank and a nice timeing chain and mild cam. which i would like to find a solid main block for but now i don't now what to look for as the X has failed once already. Could this be a fluke or did the X Block mean somthing else .
